PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Humane Society is thrilled to announce the Tails of Triumph fundraiser, which is an inspiring month-long initiative dedicated to helping and providing second chances at life for vulnerable animals in Prince George and the surrounding region.

This major fundraiser campaign commenced Monday and will wrap-up with an exciting celebratory event on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. That day will see 50 local difference-makers stop by the Society’s 1st Avenue location at various times, all striving towards the collective goal of raising $40,000 by reaching out to their network of contacts for donations.

“At the PG Humane Society, we strive to create a brighter future for animals in need. This fundraiser is not just about raising funds but also about building a community that continues to care deeply about animal welfare,” says Angela McLaren, Executive Director of the PG Humane Society. “We’re excited to bring together animal lovers and advocates to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable animals.”

In the past year, the PG Humane Society has faced a significant rise in animal surrenders while donations have hit a record low. Rising operational costs, especially for veterinary care, have added strain to the charity’s resources, making this fundraiser more critical than ever.
