PRINCE GEORGE— The Prince George Humane Society is looking for people to open their hearts and homes this holiday by fostering a pet.
The Humane Society’s Home for the Holidays program is asking for volunteers to ensure an animal doesn’t have to spend christmas in the shelter. Meanwhile, you can get experienced with pet ownership and find out if it can suite your lifestyle.
“It’ll be from the twenty-first, which is Saturday, until the second of January,” explains Jamie Walsh, lead operations at the PG Humane Society. “Then we provide you with everything that you need to care for the animal. So, that’s food, medication if needed, Litter or scratching posts, blankets, toys, all of those things that cats need. And then we set you up and the animal gets to go home for the holidays instead of being in the shelter.”
