Cougars to wear retro Ninja Turtles jerseys for Nickelodeon Night January 4

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars will be wearing special edition Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles jerseys when they play the Seattle Thunderbirds on Nickelodeon Night at CN Centre Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025.

Those retro jerseys will then be auctioned off with the proceeds going towards the Children’s Miracle Network.

It’s the third edition of Nickelodeon Night for Children’s Miracle Network, which has raised nearly $300,000 since it debuted during the 2022-23 WHL season. Those funds go to support local children’s hospital foundations in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

The Cougars will return from the WHL holiday break with a trio of road games, starting with a pair against the Victoria Royals on Dec. 27 and Dec. 28. They’ll also play the Seattle Thunderbirds on Dec. 31, before returning to CN Centre in the new year.

The 18-9-3-2 Cougars went into the holiday break atop the BC Division with 41 points from 32 games. They are two points up on the 17-10-3-2 Royals who have 39 points from 32 games.
