RCMP Major Crime unit investigating suspicious death in Mackenzie
MACKENZIE B.C. — The North District Major Crime Unit (NDMCU) is investigating the “suspicious death” of a man who was found on the outskirts of Mackenzie, north of Prince George.
Police say officers from the Mackenzie detachment were called to reports of a man who was lying on the edge of the road around 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28.
“Frontline officers attended to the Finlay Community Connector Forest Service Road near the Litnit Creek bridge and located the male deceased,” the RCMP said. “NDMCU has taken conduct of the investigation and is working closely in partnership with the Mackenzie RCMP and the BC Coroners Service.”
The North District Major Crime Unit did not release any details about the person who was found dead.
