PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George Animal Rescue is hoping to find three dogs new homes in 2025, each with their own fun personality. Fist up is the eldest of the bunch Arnie. Arnie is a six year old dog who was surrendered to the Animal Rescue when his previous caretaker ran into some health issues.

“He’s a lot of dog, he’s got lots of presence,” says Nicola Redpath, owner/operator at the PG Animal Rescue. “He’s not a dog that will take off or anything like that. He loves to be with his people. He’s great with other dogs, and he’s been good with the cats. He doesn’t really have a lot of exposure to cats, so he was a little afraid of them at first.”

Next up is Emma. Emma is a one year six month old working dog from burns lake. Redpath says it’s important that she receives gainful employment in the new year.

“She’s a herding animal, so she wants to work all the time,” explains Redpath. “If you don’t work these kind of dogs, they will develop different personality issues. They’ll get neurotic where they might start chewing at their feet or chewing the walls.”

However, when Emma has that opportunity to work away the pent up energy she is a happy smiley dog.

Finally there is Eva. The youngest of the bunch, Eva is a six month old puppy hailing from Prince Rupert.

“She’s very bold. She’ll do well anywhere, really,” adds Redpath. “She’s a great pup.”

If you want to adopt Arnie, Emma or Eva contact the PG Animal Rescue online.
