26-year-old man stabbed to death in Anahim Lake

CARIBOO— RCMP in Anahim Lake were called to a residence near Nimpo Lake after a report of a fight on the evening of December 30.

Upon arrival police located a 26-year-old male resident who was found suffering from stab wounds.

According to the release “EHS and police performed life saving measures, however the man succumbed to his injuries. A 22-year-old Nimpo Lake resident, known to the victim, was arrested without incident and is currently in custody. Police believe this to be targeted and there is no risk to the public.”

The BC RCMP North District Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and are asking anyone with information to call the Anahim Lake RCMP Detachment at (250) 742-3211.
