PRINCE GEORGE—2025 is almost upon us, but first let’s celebrate the year behind us. If you’re hoping to party on New Years Eve there are plenty of places to go. For example, Trench Brewing and distilling hosting a karaoke New Year’s Eve party.

“It’s hosted by the talented Andy Heywood,” says Sarah Poole the General Manager for Trench Brewing. “It’s going to begin at 8:00 p.m. and run until 1:00 a.m.”

While they won’t be posting a cover charge, they are still expecting a quieter turnout to their party.

“We’re definitely expecting a quieter night as far as New Year’s Eve go, because it is on a Tuesday,” explains Poole. “So, if you’re looking for more of a low key evening or a quieter evening to just sit down and relax with some drinks and some friends, this is definitely a good place to do it.”

If you don’t like singing but want to still hear some tunes be sure to check out Omineca Arts Centre as local band Brainium will be hosting their very first headline show. The group began in 2024 and have since been performing across the province.

Tickets are 20 dollars at the door with the doors opening at 7:30 p.m. In addition to Brainium, three more local bands will take to the stage.

“Examine the Bore. Masters of the Boogie. We’ve got Infectious. They’re a zombie rock band. They play rock, punk, heavy metal,” says Brendan Ward the frontman for Brainium. “Rabbit Soup as well. It’s going to be a really eclectic mix of all different styles, from classic banjo folk stuff to rock and heavy metal.”

These aren’t the only events happening on New Years Eve. Tourism Prince George has even more events posted on their website, including a noon party at The Exploration Place, rock climbing at OVERhang, and more. Be sure to check out Tourismpg.com to find your perfect party.
