Sub-zero temperatures expected for annual Polar Bear Dip
PRINCE GEORGE — Wednesday’s 24th annual Polar Bear Dip at Ness Lake Bible Camp is shaping up to be a chilly one.
Environment Canada is forecasting mainly sunny skies with a high of minus 12 but a low of minus 24 with the windchill.
Despite the cold, organizers say the event has raised over $218,000 over two-plus decades, which helps send kids to camp who otherwise couldn’t afford it.
The formal ceremony will start at 1:45 p.m. where prizes for most money raised through pledges and best costumes will be won.
