Prince George biathlete Moira Green wins junior sprint, pursuit races at national trials
PRINCE GEORGE — Make it two wins in two days for Moira Green at the 2025 Biathlon Junior/Youth World Championship trials at the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club.
Green won the junior women’s pursuit Sunday (Jan. 5) with a time of 33:12.8. She beat Alexandra Hulshof (34:14.1) and Ema Chlepkova (35:51.0), both from Calgary’s Foothills Nordic Club, who finished in second and third respectively.
The Prince George native also won the junior women’s sprint Saturday with a time of 24:22.2, 18.8 seconds ahead of Hulshof (24:41.0) and 44.9 seconds ahead of Chlepkova (25:07.1).
Isla Cadell finished third in both the youth women’s sprint (19:44.0) Saturday, and the youth women’s pursuit (27:33.0) Sunday. She posted the best times among the six members of the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club aged 15 to 18 who were competing in the event.
