Cougars rookie defenseman and goalie shine in weekend win

PRINCE GEORGE— To kick off 2025 at the CN Centre , the Cougars split their weekend back-to-back against the Thunderbirds.

They had their five game win streak snapped on Friday, losing 3-1. The Cats followed it up on their Nickelodeon Night with a 3-0 win, as back-up goaltender Cooper Michaluk recorded his first WHL shutout.

“It was everything. It was my first unique night like that. Having a special jersey and playing in front of a a great crowd was awesome. And, it’s a great game. We played great.
