Cole Peardon joins the Cougars front-line
PRINCE GEORGE— The Prince George Cougars have acquired forward Cole Peardon (06) from the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2026.
The Outlook, Saskatchewan native has played 23 games this season for both Red Deer and the Prince Albert Raiders and has racked up one goal and four assists. Spanning his 133 games in his WHL career, the 6’0, 180-pound forward has earned 29 points (10-19-29). In addition, Pearson represented Team Canada in the 2022 World U-17 Challenge.
Peardon is a veteran forward but was the thirteenth selection of the WHL Prospect’s Draft in 2021 by Prince Albert. General Manager & Head Coach Mark Lamb explains the reason behind the trade saying “Cole is a former first-rounder that the scouts think has untapped potential. He is a left-handed shot that plays a responsible game and is a good penalty killer.”
Peardon could have his first chance to represent Prince George on Friday, January 10, when the Cats battle the Rockets in Kelowna.
