Cougars blast Broncos 8-3

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars defeated the visiting Swift Current Broncos before 2,918 fans at CN Centre Tuesday night (Jan.28).

Cougars defenseman Viliam Kmec lead the way in scoring with a goal and four assists.

The Cats outshot their visitors 36-20 with Joshua Ravensbergen picking up the win in net.

With the win, the Cougars record improves to 26-15-3-2 and have 57 points. That’s one point behind B.C. Division leaders the Victoria Royals.

The Cougars are back on the ice Friday night when they host the first of two games against the visiting Tri-City Americans this weekend. Puck drop Friday night is 7 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday night.
