Vanderhoof RCMP looking for missing 40-year-old man

VANDERHOOF B.C. — The RCMP in Vanderhoof RCMP are asking for help in finding a 40-year-old Indigenous man, Ronald McCook, who was reported missing Thursday, Jan. 30.

Police say McCook was least seen leaving a house in the 100-block of Kenny Dam Road on the Saik’Uz First Nations, outside of Vanderhoof, on Jan. 23. He was said to be walking south towards the Sauk’uz General Store.

According to the RCMP, McCook stands about five-foot-11, weighing 200 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes and was wearing an orange t-shirt, grey baseball hat, and jeans at the time he was last seen.

People in the area with CCTV or dash camera footage between Jan. 21 and Jan. 25 are being asked to contact the Vanderhoof RCMP at (250) 567-2222.
