Bitterly cold temperatures to lift slightly by weekend

Feb 13, 2025 | 12:11 PM

PRINCE GEORGE — It looks like the cold snap we have been experiencing is about to end.

Environment and Climate Change Canada says we will begin to notice a slight increase in the temperatures on Saturday due to a Pacific weather system bringing us milder air.

Meteorologist Colin Fong says since February 1, the average low in Prince George has been minus 32, much colder than average for this time of year.

The forecasted low for this Saturday is minus 18. By overnight Tuesday, the forecasted low is expected to be warm to minus 11.
