Mounties looking for person of interest connected to suspicious death in Vanderhoof
VANDERHOOF B.C. — The death of a man in Vanderhoof in January is now being considered a homicide as Mounties ask for help identifying a person who might be able to help the investigation.
The RCMP say officers were called to a well-being check at a house in the 100 block of 5th Street E. in Vanderhoof on Jan. 14. They say they arrived to find the body of 65-year-old Gordon Sims, a death police said was considered suspicious.
The RCMP’s North District Major Crime Unit says Sims was killed sometime between Jan. and Jan. 14 this year.
Police are now looking to speak to a person who was seen in surveillance images, as they believe this person may have information related to the case.
