Cougars lose Family Day matchup with Giants

LANGLEY — The Prince George Cougars dropped a 7-2 decision to the Vancouver Giants on Monday in Langley.

Ben Riche scored his 30th goal in the loss while Terik Parascak scored his 23rd of the season.

Tyus Sparks of the Giants was the game’s first star scoring two goals.

The Giants outshot the Cougars 39-34 before 4,405 fans at the Langley Events Centre.

Cooper Michaluk picked up the loss in net for Prince George who continue their road trip Friday in Victoria against the B.C. Division leading Royals.
