OCP heads to the public
PRINCE GEORGE – With a great deal of debate, Council has approved sending the proposed Official Community Plan to the next stage which is a public hearing. The debate surrounded a motion put forward by Councillor Trudy Klassen to defer the decision on moving to a public hearing until a number of organizations could give their input.
“We need to spend more time to get this right,” she noted.
Organizations included in her motion include the Airport Authority, large land holders, the Chamber of Commerce, UNBC, CNC, Northern Health, School District 57, the Regional District of Fraser Fort George, BC Transit, seniors groups and industry.
