Cougars snap losing streak with win over Rockets
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars defeated the Kelowna Rockets 5-2 Tuesday night at CN Centre before 2,907 fans.
Terik Parascak, Aleksey Chichkin, Kayden Lemire, Ben Riche, and Koehn Ziemmer all scored for the Cougars, who outshot their visitors 37-29.
Prince George goalie Joshua Ravensbergen was named the game’s first star blocking 27 shots between the pipes.
With the win, the Cougars improved their record to 32-19-4-2. With 70 points, they are now 7 points between the BC Division leading Victoria Royals. The Cougars have one game in hand. The Cougars entered the game on a three-game losing streak following two losses to Victoria and another to Vancouver.
