WorkSafeBC investigating fatality in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — WorkSafeBC is investigating a fatality in the City of Prince George, though details remain limited.

In an email to CKPG Today, WorkSafeBC confirmed it was notified about a “serious workplace incident” that occurred around noon last Thursday, Feb. 27 on the 900 block of the John Hart Highway.

“The purpose of our investigation is to identify the cause of the incident, including any contributing factors, so that similar incidents can be prevented from happening in the future,” the statement from WorkSafeBC said.

“We are not able to provide any additional details while the investigation is underway.”

This story will be updated if more information is made available from the RCMP or the BC Coroners Service.
