
Cougars win fifth straight vs Wenatchee
WENATCHEE, WA — The Prince George Cougars defeated the Wenatchee Wild 4-3 Wednesday night before 2,590 fans at the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee.
It was the Cougars fifth straight victory and featured a third period comeback as the Wild led the game 3-2 heading into the third period.
Jett Lajoie tied the game with his 14th goal of the season at the 9:25 mark of the third period and Lee Shurgot scored the game winner with just under eight minutes to play. It was his 7th goal of the year.
Joshua Ravensbergen was solid in net stopping 31 of 34 shots to secure the victory for Prince George, who now sport a record of 36-19-4-2, good for second spot in the WHL’s B.C. Division, just three points back of the Victoria Royals who have one game in hand.
