Quesnel RCMP looking for suspect after armed robbery at Circle K store

QUESNEL, B.C. — RCMP in Quesnel are asking for help in identifying a suspect after an early morning robbery at a Circle K convenience store, and they’re looking to speak to an man who may have witnessed the entire incident.

Police say they were called around 5:00 a.m. Friday (March 7) and told that a gunman had robbed the Circle K at the corner of Abbott Dr. and Anderson Dr.

“Frontline officers arrived on scene within minutes of the call and additional officers, which included RCMP Police Dog Services, began canvassing the area,” a statement from the RCMP said. “The suspect was not located and based on the initial information, police believe the suspect fled on foot.”

According to police, the suspect is a man, who was approximately six-feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a blue FILA hoodie, with a grey hoodie underneath at the time of the robbery. He was also wearing black gloves and a black balaclava.

“The investigation is in the early stages and police are working on obtaining witness statements as well as video surveillance in the area,” the RCMP statement added. “An older Caucasian male exited the store at the time of the robbery and may have witnessed the incident. Police are looking to speak with this individual.”
