Cougars look to rally off successful road trip

PRINCE GEORGE— Entering their final four games of the season, the Cougars are coming off a successful last road trip of the campaign, winning four of five away from the CN Centre.

During the road trip, the Cats managed to defeat the WHL’s best, Everett Silvertips at the Angel of the Winds Arena for the first time since 2019.

“It was voted the hardest rink to play at in the WHL, there were 10,000 people at that game and it was sold out… We went into that game knowing that we were the underdogs and that we wanted to prove the league wrong and prove a lot of people wrong. I think that if we play that way, we can beat anyone,” said Cougars Alternate Captain, Borya Valis.

The Cougars now wrap up the season at home, starting with Wenatchee this weekend as they celebrate Railroaders in our Community at the CN Centre.

“These ones are big here this weekend against Wenatchee. They’re going to come gunning after beating them twice in their barn. There’s lots to play for for sure. There’s contracts. There’s draft status. There’s seeding in our division in and conference. No short of excuses to get up for these ones,” said Cougars Assistant Coach, Carter Rigby.

Heading into their penultimate weekend of the regular season, Prince George are tied with the Royals atop the B.C. Division, but Victoria have two games in hand.
