PRINCE GEORGE — It’s heartbreak for the U18 AAA Cariboo Cougars as they were beaten 3-2 in overtime by the Okanagan Rockets in game three of the British Columbia Elite Hockey League (BCEHL) championship series.

Hudson Getzlaf, nephew of former Anaheim Ducks forward Ryan Getzlaf, scored the winner at 4:26 in overtime to help the Rockets capture the Cromie Memorial Cup at the Kin Centre Sunday (March 23) afternoon.

Nicholas Gordon struck first for the Cougars at 8:34 in the opening period, though Kylen Martens tied things up at 1-1 about seven minutes later at 15:49.

While Miller Tedesco restored the Cougars lead at 17:27 of the second, Hayden Laing tied the game once again at 19:06 of the period.
