Weekend fire on Victoria Street causes $10K in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue doused a structure fire Saturday morning on the 1500-block of Victoria Street (March 22).
Crews arrived at around 9:30 a.m. to find a suite in a multi tenant residential property on fire.
The flames were limited to the one suite with damages estimated at $10,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation and there were no injuries.
Prince George Fire rescue says the fire serves as a reminder to residents and business owners to ensure safety measures are in place, including working smoke alarms and proper storage of flammable materials.
