Spruce Kings’ playoff hopes still alive, but team will need help

Mar 29, 2025 | 9:53 AM

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings’ 2024-25 season hangs in the balance this weekend.

The team plays its final two regular season games of the season at home against the Powell River Kings.

Prince George sits four points behind the Langley Rivermen for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Coastal Conference.

In order to make the playoffs, the Spruce Kings need to win both games against Powell River — the last-place team in the conference — and for first-place Chilliwack to beat Langley in regulation Saturday (March 29). The scenario would give Prince George and Langley 52 points each, but the Spruce Kings would win the tiebreaker by having more regular season wins.
