RCMP recover $12K in stolen equipment

PRINCE GEORGE — $12,000 worth of stolen equipment has been returned to its rightful owner by the Prince George RCMP.

Mounties discovered the equipment – which included two generators, several power tools and a crane pulley hoist, back on March 12 while conducting an unrelated investigation on the 100-block of Thacker Crescent.

Police officers were at the home looking to speak with a person associated to that address when they discovered several generators that matched the description of items recently reported as stolen. A search warrant was obtained for the property and multiple items were recovered.

Mounties say the incident is a reminder to ensure all of the items in your home worth anything in value are documented thoroughly, either by writing down the serial number or by filing detailed pictures of the items in your home or office.
