New information released as Prince George RCMP search for missing Surrey man

PRINCE GEORGE — An update from Prince George RCMP as they continue to search for a 20-year-old man who has been missing since Wednesday (April 2).

Mounties say they’ve been able to place Ravinder Singh at a restaurant on the 5500-block of the Hart Highway at approximately 4:00 p.m. on April 2. While they did not specify which restaurant it was, they say surveillance footage showed him heading north from the area.

“We are asking anyone who was using the Hart Highway around 4:00 p.m. on April 2 to please check their dash cameras to see if they captured Mr. Singh,” Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in a statement Saturday.

“Additionally, if you have home or business surveillance along the Hart Highway, if you can please look to see if it recorded any sightings of Ravinder so we can determine where he went after he left the restaurant.”

Police say Singh is believed to be travelling on a bicycle and that he maybe unfamiliar with the Prince George area as he is from Surrey. They also believe he may have intended to use the Beaver Forest Service Road to travel east towards Shelley.

Police previously said Singh stands about five-foot-11 and weighs 155 lbs, with black hair and black eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, a black hat, and a light-coloured shirt. While he was in possession of a black backpack and a bicycle helmet, RCMP say they’re not sure if he was equipped to stay outdoors overnight.

RCMP are also looking for information or video footage of Singh’s movements in Prince George on April 1 and 2, as they say he traveled on a bicycle from the area of Ospika Boulevard and Tyner Boulevard towards Northwood Pulpmill Road.
