PRINCE GEORGE — The Portland Winterhawks defeated the Prince George Cougars 4-2 Monday night to win their first round best-of-seven playoff series 4-3.
Terik Parascak and Lee Shurgot had the Cougars goals in a game Prince George outshot their visitors, 35-23.
The announced attendance at CN Centre was 6,016.
