PRINCE GEORGE – Miracle Theatre has extended its run time of both its production thanks to incredible community demand. Both of its comedies, “Lunenburg” and “Here on the Flight Path,” are now running until April 27.

“We’ve had pretty much full houses on every night, and we’ve got a limited number of tickets now still left until the 23. So we’ve added extra performances, we’ve got a good supply of tickets until the 27,” Miracle Theatre’s Director and Designer Ted Price explained.

“We’re really encouraged, both with the attendance but also the donations that have come in and the sponsorships. I think this might be a top year on some of those categories, We don’t know yet, but people are very supportive of the cause, and that’s really encouraging,” he continued.

This year, all funds raised by the Theatre are going into the development of a Prince George Seniors’ Emergency Fund to help seniors with the increasing cost of living and inflation. As for the shows themselves, Price said the audiences have loved it, saying he’s heard very positive feedback from many.

“(Lunenberg) is a terrific story about two women that arrive in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. They’ve never been there, but one of them has inherited a house, didn’t even know that the house was in the family. And then when she discovers that the family member is living a secret life at this house, everything changed for her. So it’s a very funny play, it’s got a lot of comedy, but also some mystery and some romance, so it’s very entertaining,” Price said, describing the plot of Lunenberg.

“The other play is Here on the Flight Path, it’s about a fellow who lives in an apartment building in the big city, and there’s adjoining balconies. It’s about his adventures with three different neighbours over three different years, also a very funny play,” he continued.

If you’d like to attend any of the shows you can buy tickets from Books and Company. You can buy them in person, or phone the store for pickup when you go to see the show. Price says if you’re interested, you should buy the tickets soon as demand has been high and they have been selling quickly.
