Close to $10k worth of search and rescue gear stolen

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Mounties are investigating the theft of close to $10,000 worth of search and rescue gear.

RCMP say the gear was stolen out a vehicle overnight on April 11, 2025 in the parking lot of a hotel on the 2900-block of Recplace Drive.

Police officers are asking members of the public to keep an eye out for these items on online marketplace forums or around town, and to report any sightings of the equipment to the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300.

Unfortunately, RCMP say there is no available video surveillance from the nearby businesses for police to review.
