Walk for Alzheimer’s set to take place on Sunday, May 25

PRINCE GEORGE — The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, presented by Go Auto, returns to communities across British Columbia, including Prince George, on Sunday, May 25.
The Walk will take place at the YMCA of Northern B.C., at 2020 Massey Drive in Prince George. Registration is 1pm, the walk will begin at 1:30pm.
According to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada, “the Walk is the largest annual fundraising event for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and provides an opportunity for communities to take action to change the future for the over 85,000 British Columbians living with dementia and the people who care for them.”
The society says that “funds raised at the Walk will help provide programs and services for families on the dementia journey, providing the support they need to maintain the best possible quality of life throughout the progression of their journey, and enable critical research to change the future of the disease.”
