PRINCE GEORGE — The 6th edition of the Canada North Resources Expo (CNRE) kicks off today at the CN Centre and Exhibition Park.

The event is Northern BC’s premier event for forestry, road building, heavy machinery and transportation. The CNRE is only held every two years and there will be over 400,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits with over 120 exhibitors bringing the latest machine, products and services to explore.

The BC Roadbuilders are bringing their “RoadShow Trailer” to the CNRE, which is a 34′ trailer packed with simulators and virtual reality technology for visitors to get a sneak peek at a career in highway maintenance and road building.

Lots of food trucks will be on-site, so you can make it a day with the family. The region’s top dealers will be on site, showing off the latest equipment, innovations and technologies.

The CNRE will be on until 5pm, Friday, May 23 and from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, May 24. 101.3 The River will be live on-location from 1pm to 4pm Friday and 99.3 Rewind Radio will be live on-location Saturday, May 24 from 9am to 12pm.

Admission is $20 at the door.
