Structure fire on Malaspina Ave. causes $75,000 in damage

PRINCE GEORGE — A fire at a residence on the 8200 block of Malaspina Ave on Monday, May 26, caused $75,000 in damages.

In a news release from the City of Prince George, they say that crews from three fire halls responded to the fire at approximately 3pm Monday afternoon.

When crews arrived on scene, they found “a residence with light smoke exiting the basement door [and] a fast attack by crews quickly knocked the fire down.”

The city says that cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and there were no injuries to the public or fire crews.
