Smokey skies still lingering over Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — Smoke from wildfires in the northeastern corner of the province and from Alberta, is still lingering over Prince George and the region.

Environment Canada says that Prince George will be impacted by wildfire smoke over the next 24-48 hours.

Environment Canada also mentions that “as smoke levels increase, health risks increase. Limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.”

Easterly winds are expected to shift to westerly winds this afternoon, bringing with it the chance of rain for the Prince George area.
