PRINCE GEORGE —Changes are coming this summer to Southridge Park in College Heights.

The City of Prince George says $220,500 in funding from the Canada Community-Building Fund will allow for the construction of a new multi-sport court which will include a tennis court, four pickleball courts, and a basketball court. In the winter, the surface will be available for ice sports.

The City says Southridge Park has served the community for over two decades noting the boards surrounding the rink have reached the end of their service life and will be removed and replaced with fencing.

The park is expected to open to the public in the fall. These improvements follow the opening of a new dog park at this park last summer.
