The Northern Angel Summit is a 10-week investment readiness program that brings promising BC companies together with angel investors from across the North. Think Dragon’s Den—but real, local, and high stakes. This investor-led experience gives founders a chance to pitch their businesses directly to angel investors, who conduct due diligence, and collaboratively choose where to invest. At the Summit Finale, one winning startup will walk away with the full $100,000 investment—no splitting, just capital to grow.

These 12 semi-finalists were chosen following two nights of high-energy quarterfinal pitches. Over the summer, they’ll work with coaches, refine their investment materials, and get ready to compete in semi-final pitches this September. From there, just six will move on to pitch one last time at the public Summit Finale on September 25, 2025, where the final winner will be announced live on stage. Save the date, tickets will be on sale soon!

“These founders reflect the resilience and ingenuity powering innovation in Northern and rural communities of BC,” said Mary Mytting, Executive Director of the Northern Innovation Network. “This Summit isn’t just about a single investment—it’s about building capacity and confidence on both sides of the table, with angel investors and entrepreneurs. We’re seeing angel investors step up and back the next generation of business leaders.”

The Northern Angel Summit is the first of its kind in Northern BC, designed to close the early-stage capital gap while strengthening the local innovation ecosystem. It equips both founders and investors with the tools they need to confidently raise—and deploy—capital in high-growth ventures.
