‘High risk arrest’ in Vanderhoof
VANDERHOOF — One man was arrested in relation to a break-and-enter in Vanderhoof on Sunday (June 22).
Vanderhoof RCMP were tipped off to the incident on 4th Street at 2 p.m. and were warned that the suspect may have had a firearm.
“Police immediately responded and from the description provided of the suspect, a person was quickly located,” says Cpl. Madonna Saunderson. “Police conducted a high-risk arrest and the man was taken into custody without incident. There were no reported injuries.”
During a search after the arrest, police seized an imitation firearm, later determined to be a BB gun.
