Wildfire burning west of Isle Pierre now being held
UPDATE at 3:05pm: The wildfire west of Isle Pierre is now “being held”, meaning the fire is projected to remain within its current perimeter.
PRINCE GEORGE — A wildfire is currently burning west of Isle Pierre and south of Paxton Lake.
According to the BC Wildfire Service’s website, the fire is 7.4 hectares and is out of control. It was discovered on July 1, and is believed to be caused by lightning. There are no evacuations orders or alerts at this time, related to this fire
Firefighters and aircraft continue to respond to this fire.
