Spruce Kings announce player commitment
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings have announced a player commitment for next season.
The club says it’s 6’3, 181 pound forward Leon Mikhalchuk from Minsk, Belarus. Last season in the Belarus U18 league he scored 25 goals and added 17 assists for 42 points in 39 games.
Leon’s brother Vladislav played two seasons for the Prince George Cougars from 2018-2020.
“Leon is a young player with great size and tremendous skill who has a huge upside and loads of potential. We’re very excited to add him to the group and we’re thrilled to work with him on his development,” says Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes.
