3 treated following Ontario Street fire

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a commercial structure fire on the 100 block of Ontario Street Tuesday (July 22).

Crews from four halls responded at approximately 12 p.m. to find all occupants of the building safely outside.

“Functioning fire and smoke detection systems helped to alert occupants to the danger while sprinklers in the building helped to suppress the fire,” says the City of Prince George.

Three occupants of the building were medically evaluated and treated and there were no injuries to first responders as a result of this fire.

Damages are estimated at $60,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
