Forests minister visits Prince George, presses Ottawa on softwood lumber deal

PRINCE GEORGE – Ravi Parmar, BC’s Minister of Forests, visited Prince George this afternoon for discussions with staff and sawmill owners, as a Canadian federal negotiation team continues its efforts to finalize a tariff deal with the American government. Parmar emphasized his ongoing commitment to urging the federal government to prioritize the softwood lumber agreement.
