PRINCE GEORGE — A pair of Prince George Cougars have been invited to Hockey Canada’s World Junior Summer Showcase this week.
Goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen and forward Terik Parascak are among the 44 players – four goaltenders, 12 defencemen and 20 forwards – who were invited to the seven-day camp from July. 27 to Aug. 2 at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
It’ll feature practices, scrimmages, and a trio of exhibition games as Canada prepares for the 2026 World Juniors, which will be held in Minneapolis and St. Paul this winter.
A couple other players from Northern BC were also invited – Saskatoon Blades netminder and Fort St. John product Evan Gardner and Michigan State forward and Chetwynd product Cayden Lindstrom. Lindstrom played for the Medicine Hat Tigers last season.
