Biathlon Canada finds a New summer training gem
PRINCE GEORGE – The Caledonia Nordic Centre has been drawing significant attention lately from top-tier athletes. Over the past week, several members of the Canadian Biathlon team have been at the facility, sharpening their skills in preparation for competitions around the world.
Seeing nationally ranked Nordic athletes training during the summer in Prince George is quite a rare occurrence. The team is taking a break from their training base in Canmore, Alberta and testing the waters down at the local Nordic centre.
“ It’s an incredible facility. They got the new roller ski track put in last fall, and we heard all about it over the wintertime. We got pretty excited. So we decided that it was absolutely worthwhile to come check out the facility.”
