RCMP negotiate safe end to mental health crisis on Oliver Avenue

PRINCE GEORGE — RCMP say a man with a gun was arrested without incident after he suffered a mental health crisis last Friday in the Heritage neighbourhood.
The RCMP’s Emergency Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Team arrived at the 4000 block of Oliver Avenue just before 2:30 p.m. in response.
The suspect was carrying a gun but police were able to negotiate a peaceful resolution.
RCMP closed a portion of oliver avenue for public safety. Police would like to thank those in the neighbourhood for their patience and cooperation during the incident.
