Evacuation alert lifted for Nazko-Snaking River wildfire

QUESNEL — The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) and Nazko First Nation have lifted the evacuation alert for the Nazko-Snaking River fire because it is now classified as “being held.”
The 879.8 hectare fire was caused by lightning and the alert was first issued on August 3.
A total of 93 wildfire personnel were assigned to this fire along with heavy equipment and helicopter support.
