Kodiaks beat Broncos to sit third at midway point of BCFC season
KAMLOOPS — It’s back-to-back wins for the Prince George Kodiaks as they look to solidify their claim as a playoff team in the BC Football Conference this season.
The Kodiaks scored 21 points in the third quarter en route to a 31-12 win over the Kamloops Broncos Saturday (Aug. 23) evening at Hillside Stadium. They improve to 3-2 and sit in third place with five games left to play in the regular season.
The Broncos scored 12 points in the second quarter to lead 12-10 at the half, but couldn’t keep up in the final two quarters as they dropped to 0-5 on the season. They’re the only winless team in the BCFC this season.
Next up for the Kodiaks is a road game in Nanaimo against the 2-3 Vancouver Island Raiders this Saturday (Aug. 30). They’ll then play three in a row at Masich Place Stadium Sept. 6, Sept. 13, and Sept. 27.
