Sep 5, 2025 | 6:50 AM

PRINCE GEORGE — Update (1:00 p.m.): The owners of CrossRoads Brewing have suggested via a social media post that Friday morning’s fire does not spell the end of the brewery.

Though devastated, the owners thank the fire department and all first responders. They also note that CrossRoads has been a passion of theirs since opening eight years ago.

“It has been more than just a business to us – it is part of our connection to the Prince George community. Downtown Prince George is where we flourished and grew, and we plan on continuing to do so. We hope to resume production as soon as possible with the assistance of our fellow breweries. Our story has not ended. Daryl & Cindy.”

Earlier (9 a.m.): Prince George RCMP say the fire is under investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Currently we are looking to see if anyone in the neighbourhood has any video surveillance, cell phone video or dash camera video that would have captured movement outside the business or give any indication as to how or where the fire started. Any information to help advance this investigation would be appreciated,” says Cst. Jenna Moore, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

If you have information relating to this investigation, please call the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300 to speak with an investigator.

Police also ask people to stay away from downtown area in order to steer clear of “toxic smoke.”
