Threatening call restricts access to UHNBC Wednesday night

PRINCE GEORGE — If you had trouble accessing the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia Wednesday night, Northern Health has revealed why.

The health authority says access was restricted due to a threatening phone call that came in at around 5:45 p.m.

While Prince George RCMP investigated, non-essential movement within the hospital was also restricted for a time.

All restrictions were lifted after approximately 45 minutes after the threat was determined to not be credible.
