Prince George’s Trevor Scott scores first Canada West goal as UNBC soccer teams lose Friday night
PRINCE GEORGE — The UNBC Timberwolves were beaten in a pair of Canada West soccer games in Prince George Friday (Sept. 12) night.
Prince George product Trevor Scott scored his first Canada West goal in the 88th minute but the UNBC men were unable to spark a comeback as they fell 3-1 to the Saskatchewan Huskies at Masich Place Stadium last night.
Scott, a graduate of Prince George Secondary, is in his fourth season with the Timberwolves. The veteran midfielder beat Jaron Slopinski with a left-footed shot that was set up by Mehdi Bounaaja.
Dante Molina, Ty Lee, and Tao Hein all scored for the 1-3-1 Huskies who picked up their first win of the Canada West campaign. UNBC, meanwhile, is winless in their last four as they drop to 3-3-1 on the season.
