Diwali dance party coming to Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — CN Centre will be the site of a high-energy dance party on Friday, October 17 at 7 p.m.

The Diwali celebration will include DJ Shalv, DJ Kokaheena, and DJ Branestorm spinning everything from global sounds to South Asian rhythms.

ARTIST BIOS

Shalv: Shalv is the heartbeat of the party. Hailing from South Mumbai and now lighting up stages across Canada, (Vancouver based) he’s the ultimate hypeman and emcee rolled into one. With an unparalleled talent for reading the room, energizing the crowd, and channeling raw emotion through South Asian music, Shalv creates unforgettable moments. His genre-blending sets combine Bollywood, Desi /Urdu Hip Hop, and Alternative Hip Hop / Rap music. Whether he’s behind the decks or on the mic, Shalv makes sure no one leaves without a story to tell.

Kokaheena: Calgary-based Kokaheena is a powerhouse DJ representing fusion, passion, and creativity. A proud Punjabi-Canadian, her music encapsulates her rich Rajasthani heritage, resonating with the rhythmic heartbeats of Punjab, seamlessly intertwined with urban beats of hip-hop, funk, garage, afro, and R&B. Women are rare in the landscape of music, and Punjabi women who DJ are even rarer. Kokaheena’s emergence in this space marks a pivotal shift for the rest of the industry and she’s determined to be a beacon of change and representation, breaking barriers, and inspiring a new generation.

Branestorm: With over 12 years of experience, DJ Branestorm has become a recognized name with Decibel Entertainment. Based on his deep passion for music and performance, Branestorm blends Punjabi, Hip Hop, Top 40, and House music into electrifying sets that keep dance floors alive and energy at its peak. Not only a DJ, Balraj is also a music producer known for creating unique house remixes that fuse culture with pure club energy. His productions and performances are designed to connect with diverse audiences, delivering a signature sound that’s both fresh and timeless.
